Ray Badran is a Sydney based stand-up comedian. Ray is a regular at The Sydney Comedy Store, and has performed across Australia, The United States, New Zealand and Hong Kong.

Ray has written comedy for various TV shows, comedians, advertising agencies, theatre, radio, and more.

Widely regarded as one of the rising stars in Australian comedy, Ray has been lucky enough to work with Chris Rock, Marc Maron, Amy Schumer, Comedy Bang Bang, to name a few. He once also had a joke stolen online via The Lad Bible, and with over 20 million likes, he was eventually given the credit.

2013

– Wrote and voiced a FIFA World Cup radio show, Half-time Oranges (SBS Radio)
– Regular segment on Triple J weekend breakfast (ABC Radio)

2015

– Performed the show ‘Raised and Confused’ at the Brisbane Comedy Festival, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Sydney Comedy Festival & Perth Comedy Festival.

2016
– Opened for Comedy Bang Bang (Live at Metro Theatre, Sydney)
– Performed the show “Junior” at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Sydney Comedy Festival, Perth Comedy Festival.
– Featured in the “Breakout Comedy” Showcase at the New Zealand Comedy Festival.
– Writer and Actor in the immersive musical theatre show, “Hidden Sydney -The Glittering Mile”
– Created a radio play for ABC radio entitled ‘Positions Vacant’ – airing 2017.

2017
– Made his solo show debut at New Zealand International Comedy Festival.
– Writer and Actor for “No Experience Necessary” –  Comedy Central
– Performed on the Sydney Comedy Festival Cracker Night – Recorded and aired on The comedy Chanel
